In all of her projects, designer Sylvie Perrot aims for the perfect fusion between art and nature. For her, noble and durable materials such as natural stone and Rocvale EnduraColor™ architectural concrete grant richness and elegance to the landscape design. This magnificent home on the banks of the Richelieu River is no exception. “I am particularly proud of this project, which required close

collaboration between the building professionals who designed the expansion and our team of experts”, affirms the designer of Matière de goût paysagiste, a company recognized by the Rocvale Certified Art Creator™ program.

Inspired by hygge*, this living space was designed for the interior and exterior to be as one. This complex project, which required a great deal of precision and planning, could only be undertaken by a firm with the expertise, qualifications and advanced equipment required for its realization.

*A Danish word meaning quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being.

The walls and risers use the Belmuro system, the worthy predecessor of the revolutionary Cara™ system for high and low walls.

The magnificent pool is complemented by the textured surfaces of the deck, steps and coping in Umbriano^®, Winter Marvel color, resistant to chlorine or saltwater. One of the constraints was the need to conceal the metal band of the retractable pool covers under the lip of the pool’s coping. Challenge met! Large format 900 x 900 millimeters Umbriano^® pavers, in Winter Marvel color, create a majestic effect with their textured granite surface finish… and this magnificent view overlooking the river.
