Distinguished and distinctive

“When we create a layout, we want it to be special, sustainable and timeless. We seek out textures, colors and shapes that will give each project its own identity” affirms Nicolas Noël Ménard, Rocvale Certified Art Creator™ and founder of Vertige Paysage. And this Tudor Revival style residence in Town of Mount Royal demanded nothing less than this careful approach: the natural stone of its cladding and steps and the insert between the walkway and the car entry all blend wonderfully with EnduraColor™ prefabricated architectural concrete products. We are treated to the perfect symbiosis between the classical and the contemporary.

The walkway was built with large format Umbriano® pavers in Midnight Sky color. The curves were accentuated to underscore the meticulous alignment and cutting work, enticing the eye to the play of proportions and finishes. For the car entry, the landscape architect chose the Series 3000® Black Granite paver, in classic formats of 150 x 150, 150 x 300 and 300 x 300 millimeters.

This hexagonal format, prized by institutional project designers, is generally seldom used in a residential context. The Art Creator has therefore been avant-garde with his choice and the great beauty that results heralds the return in force for this format in landscaping projects.

For our Rocvale Certified Art Creator™, attention to detail reigns supreme at all steps of a project’s realization. Here he has imagined a sleek and discreet dreamscape, deploying a skilful mix of materials that blend perfectly: exotic wood, architectural concrete, a glass barrier, black aluminum and natural stone. The Valois hexagonal paver, in Opal color with an Ultra-Smooth finish, offers a decidedly clean look that is both classic and contemporary.
