A studiously well-considered renovation

This project seeking to improve quality of life in the scholastic milieu includes both a major revamp of the interior and a complete refurbishing of the exterior facades. The proposed concept situates the imposing structural braces so that they become integral to the building’s rhythm and vocabulary. On the exterior, the colors of Charlevoix assume pride of place and enliven all the facades. Small plots interspersed in the landscape design provide convivial meeting spaces for students and teachers. All the materials chosen are inspired by the forms and colors composing the facades and are placed judiciously so as to further enhance the environment. The lighting and vegetation add to the project with the same consideration for harmonious integration unifying the whole. Prefabricated architectural concrete Il Campo^® and Umbriano^® products serve admirably for this magnificent space.
